Historic Waterfront Dining • Bait Shop • Live Music Since 1944
Little Jim Bait & Tackle is a legendary waterfront establishment on North Hutchinson Island, serving Fort Pierce since 1944. What started as an abandoned Navy guard shack after the UDT (now known as SEALS) moved out has become a beloved local institution.
Today, Little Jim offers the best of both worlds—a fully stocked bait and tackle shop for anglers and a waterfront restaurant with delicious food and live entertainment. The mystery of "Who's Jim?" continues to intrigue visitors after 80 years.

80 years of Fort Pierce history
Established in 1944 from an abandoned Navy guard shack after the UDT (SEALS) moved out. Someone moved in and started selling bait and beer!
The first bridge to the island was built in 1926. A piece of the original 1942 wooden bridge still stands between Little Jim's marina and the 1963 concrete bridge.
After 80 years, Little Jim is still going strong. The one thing no one can figure out is—who's Jim?
